Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies and similar technologies we use, what each category is for, and how you can control them.
Last updated 31 August 2026This page is a working draft prepared for review. It describes how VendorHub is intended to handle information and should be reviewed and adapted by your own legal counsel before publication, particularly the sections on governing law, retention periods and data transfers.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognise your device, remember preferences and understand how the site is used. Similar technologies such as local storage work in comparable ways and are covered by this policy.
The categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Can you turn it off |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Signing in, keeping you signed in, applying your role-based access, and security functions such as protecting against cross-site request forgery | No. Without these the service cannot work |
| Preferences | Remembering choices such as language and interface settings so you do not set them each visit | Yes, though you will need to set preferences again each time |
| Analytics | Understanding which pages are visited and where people encounter difficulty, so the site and product can be improved | Yes |
| Marketing | Measuring whether a campaign led somebody to us. We keep this category minimal | Yes |
Cookies in the onboarding portal
Suppliers completing an onboarding questionnaire do not create an account and do not set a password. The portal uses strictly necessary cookies to keep the session working and to save progress so a supplier can stop and return without losing their answers. It does not require marketing cookies to function.
Third party cookies
Some cookies are set by services we use rather than by us directly, such as analytics providers and, where embedded, video or scheduling tools. Those providers set their own cookies under their own policies, and we keep the number of such services deliberately small.
How to control cookies
- Use the cookie controls on this site to accept or decline non-essential categories
- Change your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Every major browser provides these controls in its settings
- Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the service from working, including signing in
How long they last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period so that preferences and sign-in state survive between visits. The specific duration varies by cookie and category.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the cookies we use change, and the date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
